HELMS, Dossie Bonebrake - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Kingman, Ind -- Mrs. Dossie Helms, 69 of Veedersburg Rt 1, died Saturday April 12, 1969 at her home. Born September 15, 1899 in Fountain County, she was the daughter of Ulysses Grant and Ellen Bush Bonebrake. She was married June 17, 1923 to Harry Helms, who died November 1,1967. Mrs. Helms was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America, Prairie Creek Baptist Church, Prairie Creek Laides Aid and Bonebrake Cemetery League. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mary Catherine Reffett of Valdosta, Ga; a son, Walter "Jake" of Veedersburg and 8 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter and sister. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Woodrow Funeral Home. The Rev. Eston Brook and Rev. Harry Hybarger will officiate. Burial will be in Bonebrake Cem. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today.
