Carl Dean Helms of Florissant, Missouri, age 50, died Friday, July 23, in Barnes Hospital at St. Louis. He was born at Veedersburg, April 17, 1932, the son of Charles and Gladys Dobbs Helms. He was married to Bonnie A. Keeling, who survives. Helms had served in the Air Force and had been an engineer for McDonnell Douglass Aircraft Corporation of St. Louis.
Also surviving are his mother of Veedersburg; two daughters, Kay Gambill and Vicki Jones, both of St. Louis; a son, Mark of St. Louis; two brothers, Charles and Dewayne, both of Colorado; and a granddaughter, Anna Gambill of St. Louis.
Following services Tuesday morning at White-Mullen Mortuary in St. Louis County the body was brought to Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg, where rites were held Wednesday afternoon with Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery.- thanks to S
Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Monday at Vermilion Heights Methodist Church with the Rev. Dean Beals officiating. The body will be cremated and the ashes interred at Sunset Memorial Park.
