HELMICK, Margaret Pevler - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Margaret Helmick died last Friday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Donald Nixon south of Veedersburg.  Mrs. Helmick was a life long resident of this section.  Her death was due to a hart attack, although she had been in failing health for about two years.  She was born June 9, 1865, the daughter of Jesse and Nancy Clifford Pevler. She was married to Elmer Helmick who preceded her in death in 1937. She was a member of the Hillsboro Methodist Church.  Survivors include the daughter, Mrs. Nixon a son Philip of Hillsboro; two brothers, John Pevler, Attica; Frank Pevler, Tilton, Ill; a sister, Mrs. Anna Smith of Mitchell, Indiana; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services were Sunday afternoon at Fishero Funeral Home in Veedersburg with burial in Rockfield Cemetery. – kbz
