Lambert Helgers, age 72, was found dead on the Street of Victory Blv. on Staten Island, N.Y., about 1:00, Sunday, Sept. 26. He was found by his brother-in-law, George Decker, about two blocks from the Decker home where he resided. Mr. Helgers bad gone for a walk. Death was attributed to a heart attack. He had been in failing health for the past two years. Several years ago, he resided at the home of his brother, William Helgers and wife, in Mellott, for about two years. He was a veteran of WW II. He was never married. He is survived by his brother, William, a sister, Mrs. George (Jane) Decker, several nieces and nephews. He was born in New York City Dec. 1, 1899, the son of William and Mary Gilpin Helgers. --typed by Walt W
