The body of Don Heidrick of Covington was recovered Tuesday morning about 9:25 in a cornfield about one quarter mile from the river. He had been missing since Thursday afternoon when he and a companion, Tony Stine of R. F. D. 2, Covington, were in a boat that overturned on the Wabash River. Mr. Stine was rescued and taken to the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville suffering from shock and exposure. Mr. Heidrick’s body was recovered by Dave Noble and Ike Smith, who had gone out in a boat this morning to look for him. The coroner’s report indicated death from drowning, but an inquest will be held. The body is now at the Bodine-Shelby Funeral Home, but later will be removed to the Edmund-Dickson Funeral Home at Danville, Ill. – thanks to S&E
