COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS) -- Charles Robert Hegg, 55, a life resident of Covington, died between 5 and 6 p.m. Friday (Nov. 13, 1970) at the Warren Wright farm east of Marshfield while hunting. He was believed to have had an apparent heart attack. Mr. Hegg was born July 31, 1915 at Covington, the son of Ambrose and Ollie Roth Hegg. He married Mabel Rose Wilson in February of 1947. Mr. Hegg worked at the Interstate Sand and Gravel Co. for 34 years. He was a life member of the Fifth Street Church of Christ, American Legion Post 291 of Covington, and the Laborers and Hod Carriers Union of the Indiana State Council. Survivors include the widow; four daughters, Mrs. Penny Walker of Hillsboro, Mrs. Billy Hudson of Covington and Judith Ann and Shirley Kay, both at home; a son, Charles Robert of Covington; his parents of Covington; two brothers, William C. of Danville, Ill. and Don of Veedersburg, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Lois Dunagan of Covington; and five grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Monday at the Hegg Funeral Home, with the Rev. Harold Fogle officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted at graveside.
