Attica – Georffrey Cleve Hedgecock, 53 of Rt 4, died at 10:15 p.m. Saturday Sept 28 in the VA Medical Center in Danville, Ill. He had been a patient there two days. Mr. Hedgecock was employed in the life science library and the anthropology department at Purdue University for the past two years.   Born in NY City Aug 20, 1944, he graduated from high school in Orange County, Calif and attended Purdue and Ivy Tech.  He married Carmien Kay Foster in 1975. On June 18, 1993, he married Jeannie Kay Spradlin in Fowler. She survives. He was an Air Force veteran and had served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He also served in the Indiana National Guard as a readiness NCO for 15 years, retiring in 1994. Surviving with his wife are a daughter, Kathryn G. Hedgecock, and a son, Daniel C. Hedgecock, both of Attica; a stepson, Thomas P. Carey of Aurora, Colo and his mother Eileen Hedgecock of Orange County, California.

“Funeral Notices” – Hedgecock, Georffrey C. Friends may call at Fisher Funeral Home, Williamsport, after 5 p.m Thursday. Funeral service there in the chapel at 11 a.m. Friday, the Rev. Karl Korbel officiating. Cremains will be interred in VA National Cemetery, Danville, Ill.  Two granddaughters survive. Those so desiring may contribute in memoriam to Warren County Cancer Society.
