Sam Hedge, former resident of Covington and Veedersburg, died December 4, in St. Petersburg, Florida.

He was born in 1886 in Covington, and shortly afterward the family moved to Veedersburg where he attended school. His parents were Parrish Carter Hedge and Hanna Ward Hedge.

For many years he successfully operated a chain of restaurants in New York, New Jersey, California and Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his daughter and brother, Roy Hedge. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Mae Hedge Cling of Chicago.

Burial was in Royal Oak, Mich. - jz
