HILLSBORO — Rosealea (Sample) Hazelrigg, 55, 3313 Lupine Drive, Indianapolis, died at 5:25 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2001 in Wishard Hospital emergency room. She had been in failing health for the past three years. She was born Sept. 11, 1945 on a farm in rural Kingman, the daughter of O. Dean and Velma V. Bunch Sample. She married Jerry W. Hazelrigg Sept. 16, 1978 in Centennial. He survives. She was raised in Kingman and graduated from Kingman High School in 1964. She later lived in Lebanon and for the past 25 years had lived in Indianapolis. She graduated from Smiles Unlimited, a school for clowns. She worked as a professional clown, known as “Dimples the Clown.” She helped to initiate clowns being at the Indiana State Fair. She helped provide entertainment for former Governor Bayh's twins first birthday party in Indianapolis. She was a member of the Circle City Church of Christ in Indianapolis Yeddo Chapter O.E.S. #313, and Indy Clowns. Survivors, besides the husband, include: a son, Samuel W. (friend Holly) Hazelrigg, Indianapolis; a step daughter, Theresa Boutwell, Indianapolis; her parents, Dean and Velma Sample, Kingman; two brothers, Larry (Marilyn) Sample, Terre Haute and Gary (Elaine) Șample, Kingman; a step grandson, Dusty Boutwell; four nieces, Kim, Jennifer, Sarah and Allison Sample; and two nephews, Brian and Jason Sample. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday in Maus Funeral Home, Hillsboro, with the Rev. Ed Powers officiating. Burial was in Centennial Cemetery, near Yeddo. – jlr
