VEEDERSBURG, Ind. (CNS) — Mrs. Rachel Jo Ann Haynes, 76, of 707 W. Ninth, Veedersburg, was found dead at her home Monday morning (Aug. 16, 1976) by neighbors. She had been in failing health for some time. Death was due to natural causes. Born May 24, 1900, in Ottawa County, Ohio, she was the daughter of Edward and Salome Swope Grodi. She was married to Irving G. Haynes in Georgia in July 1955. He died in 1966. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Gladys Shinew of Fremont, Mich., Mrs. Margaret Warren of Port Clinton, Ohio, Mrs. Vera Fox Eaton of Veedersburg and Mrs. Donna Ireland in Ohio; a son, George Ireland in Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Agnes Stiffler, Mrs. Sylvia La Course, and Mrs. Ethel Bodi, all of Toledo, Ohio, and 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. She had been a resident of the area for the past nine years. Services will be at the Dickerson Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Charles Wood officiating. Burial will be in Cold Springs Cemetery in Veedersburg. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. --typed by Walt W
