Veedersburg - Mary Margaret Hayman, 86 died at 10:30 a.m. Jan 19, 1992 at United Samaritns Medical Center Logan Campus, Danville, Ill.
She was born Sept 28, 1905 at Vermillion County, Ind, Highland Twp the daughter of Charles Edward and Iola May Rhodes McLaughlin., She was married to Lloyd Hayman, Sr. March 31, 1925 at Danville, Ill. He preceded in death Oct 11, 1991.
She was a homemaker. She had been a resident of Fountain County most of her life and a former resident of Warren and Vermillion counties. She was a member of Covington Senior Citizens and Senior Citizens Band. She made rugs for the senior citizens for fundraising projects.
Surviving are three sons: Lloyd Hayman, Jr, Covington; Charles E (Jenny) Hayman, Veedersburg; Jack (Phyllis) Hayman Rt 1, Cloverdale; a daughter Mrs. Earl (Ethel) Marie Harvey, Martinsville; a sister, Iola McClure, Veedersburg; a half-brother, Charles William McLaughlin, Westville, Ill; two stepbrothers, Robert Carter, West Palm Beach, Fla; Arthur Carter, Angola, Ill; 18 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a step-brother.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington with Rev. Richard Smith officiating. Burial will be in Lower Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday. [kbz
