HAYMAN, Lowell

Lowell Hayman of RR 3, Veedersburg, age 77, died Tuesday night, June 9, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette. He was born at Marshfield, September 10, 1903, the son of Grant and Martha Ballah Hayman. February 20, 1929, he married Ruby Marie Martin, who survives. A member of Newtown Community Church, he was a farmer in the Newtown area until his retirement 15 years ago.

Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Lola May Simmerman of Covington, Mrs. Martha Jean Kelly of Veedersburg and Mrs. Mary Jane Royal of New Cumberland, Pennsylvania; three sons, Arthur Lowell of RR 3, Veedersburg, Donald Dean of RR 3, Covington, and James Russell of Lafayette; a brother, Lloyd of Veedersburg; 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Newtown Community Church with Rev. Randy Davis officiating. Burial was in Newtown Cemetery. Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro was in charge of arrangements. – thanks to S
