Attica – Frances Muriel (House) Hayes 66, 404 ½ West St, Attica died at 11:45 a.m. she had been failing health for the past two years. She was born in Attica, June 28, 1927, the daughter of Lester Merle and Myra Louise Redman House.  She was first married to Roy Collins April 17, 1946 in Lafayette.  She later married Everett M. Hayes May 13, 1971 in Celina, Tenn.  He preceded in death on Dec 4, 1989. She was a 1945 graduate of Attica HS.  She had formerly lived in California and later moved to Crawfordsville, where she lived from 1971-99 when she moved back to Attica.  While in California, she worked for the General and Pacific Bell Telephone Companies for 13 years.  When she moved to Crawfordsville, she worked for Raybestos Product Co and Home Health Care Services for 8 years.  She had attended Williamsport Christian Church.  Surviving are two stepsons, James Everett Hayes, Danville, Ill; Michael B . Hayes, Carmichael, Calif. A stepdaughter, Linda (Lou) Frazier, San Bernardino, Calif; two brothers, Robert L. and William R. House, both of Attica; four sisters, Mercedes Snowberger, Delphi; Eleanor (Lee) Mourer, Mt. Vernon, Barbara Taylor, Crawfordsville, Janet Fields, Waynetown; 9 step grandchildren and one step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Beverly Clearwater.  Funeral services were held at Maus Funeral Home, Attica at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Don Williams officiating.  Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Attica.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Foundation.  - kbz
