HAYDEN, Mabel Burgett - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mabel Hayden of Covington, age 84, died Sunday morning, March 13, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Illinois. She was born at Franklin, August 15, 1898, the daughter of Marion Francis and Jeanette Miksel Burgett. In 1919, she married Virgil Lipscomb, who died in 1923. October 4, 1924, she married Ivan Lee Hayden, who died January 8, 1967. Mrs. Hayden was a member of the Baptist Church at Franklin.

  Survivors include five daughters, Eva Cordrey, Patricia Marks and Deloris Elliott, all of Covington, Lorraine Kornegay of Houston, Texas, and Joyce Craw of Potomac, Illinois; four sons, Virgil Lipscomb of Fort Wayne, Calvin, Walter and David Hayden, all of Covington; 22 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Robert Hentrich officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington. – thanks to S
