COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS) — John F. Hayden, 82, a life resident of Covington, died at 12:40 a.m. Wednesday (Sept. 27, 1972) at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He had been a patient one week. He had been ill for two years and seriously ill for one week. Born Oct. 10, 1889, in Covington, he was the son of Louis and Ida Hickman Hayden. He married Ruth Baldwin in 1912 and she died in 1969. He had operated a coal yard in Covington for 40 years. He attended the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Covington. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Doris High of Cayuga, Mrs. Jean Goodwin of Waxahachie, Tex., and Mrs. Betty Olson of Fort Wayne; a son, John of Covington; a sister, Mrs. Sylvia Barker of Covington; 14 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Bethel Assembly of God church. The body will be taken to the church one hour before services. The Rev. Gene Hamon will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Hegg Funeral Home. --typed by Walt W
