Covington, Ind. (CNS) — Ivan Lee Hayden, 75, of Covington, died at 7:45 p.m. yesterday (Jan. 8, 1967) in St. Elizabeth Hospital where he had been a patient four days. He had been a truck gardener several years and was employed at the Covington elevator 12 years. He was a life resident of Covington, a member of the First Church of Christ and a veteran of World War I. Born Sept. 7, 1891 in Covington, he was the son of Lewis and Ida May Hickman Hayden. He married Mabel Burgett Oct. 4, 1924 and she survives. Also surviving are 10 children, Lewis of Broderick, Calif., Mrs. Eva Mae Wash, Mrs. Patricia Miller, Walter and David, all of Covington, Mrs. Deloris Elliott of Covington Route 1, Virgil of Fort Wayne, Mrs. Loraine Kornegay of Houston, Tex., Mrs. Joyce Crawford of Potomac, and Calvin of Monterey, Calif.; 34 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also, a brother, John Hayden of Covington; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Maddox of Covington and Mrs. Sylvia Barker of Veedersburg Route 2; a half brother, Lavon Bear of Mira Loma, Calif. He was preceded in death by two sons. The body is at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home and friends may call after noon Tuesday and after 3 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Harold Fogle officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. --typed by Walt W
