Mellott - Mrs. Flora Haxton, 82, a resident of Mellott area all her life, died at 10:30 p.m. Monday in Culver Hospital. She was born Jan 3, 1879, near Mellott. Her parents were Mitchell and Ovelia Oyler Hibbs. In August 1897, she married Charles Royal of Mellott. He died in 1924. In July 1929, she married Burt Haxton who died in 1934. She was a member of the New Antioch Christian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Francis Allen of Veedersburg; a brother, Hurley Hibbs of Mellott; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Two sons, Moore and Fred preceded her in death. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the New Antioch Christian Church in Mellott. Burial will be in Campbell's Chapel Cemetery near Veedersburg. Friends may call at the residence after noon Wednesday.

Mellott – Mrs. Flora E. Haxton, 82, long time resident of Mellott died in Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville at 10:30 p.m. Monday. She had been in failing health several months and a patient in the hospital two weeks. Born near here, she had lived in Mellott since she was 14 years old. She was first married in 1897 to Charles Royal of Mellott who died in 1924. Her second marriage in 1929 to Bert Haxton who died in 1934. She was a member of the New Antioch Christian Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Frances Allen of Veedersburg, and a brother, Hurley Hibbs of Mellott
