Walter C. Hawkins, 58, died at his home, 1934 Morton street, at 7 o'clock yesterday morning.

Mr. Hawkins was born in Benton County,

December 5, 1879, and married Golda Gates June 11, 1902. He was a telephone lineman by trade, but had been employed at the Purdue chemistry building previous to his death. He was a member of the Jackson Heights M. E. church, and the

Shawnee Masonic lodge, and of the Shawnee

Surviving are the wife; a daughter, Mrs. Thelma Davis, (my grandma, you can leave this part out lol) of Odell; two sons, Leslie of Attica and Russell of Lafayette, and a brother John, of San Francisco. – thanks to Adina D
