HAZEL HAWKINS, the eight year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ferd Hawkins who reside southeast of here, died at the St. Anthony hospital in Terre Haute Thursday morning of last week, about five hours after she had been operated on. The case had been in charge of Dr. Ratcliff and everything that could be was done to avert the knife. However, this seemed to be the only alternative and was resorted to as a last hope of prolonging the child’s life. - thanks to S&E
