Mrs. Goldie E. (Gates) Hawkins, 64, died at 8:50 p.m. Sunday in St. Elizabeth hospital, 15 minutes after she had been admitted. She suffered a stroke at her home, 9181/2 Main street. For the last three years she had been employed in Bunker Hill dormitory, Purdue.

Born in Benton County, she was married to Walter C. Hawkins, who died in 1937. She was member of Jackson Heights Methodist church and of the O.E.S. at Odell.

Surviving are three children: Mrs. Elvah Davis, of Odell, Leslie of Attica, and Russell, of this city

Friends may call at Soller-Baker Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Tuesday. Services there at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Interment in Grand View Cemetery. .- thanks to Adina D.
