Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

COVINGTON — Eli Haurez Jr., age 59, of Danville, Ill., father of Mrs. Barney (Shirley) English of Covington, died at his home unexpectedly Friday noon, Dec. 6. Mr. Haurez was born Jan. 15, 1909 in Danville, Ill., the son of Eli and Alice Haurez. He was married Nov. 11, 1931 at Newport to Edna Hubert, who survives. He was a carpenter and was employed 17 years by the Peabody Mine of Danville. He also was co-owner of the Brewer Coal Yard. Surviving in addition to the wife, are; one son, Jack Haurez, and one daughter, Mrs. English, both of Covington; seven grandchildren; one brother, Charles Haurez of Danville; and two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Engle of Danville and Mrs. Alice Deslattes of New Orleans, La. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Lakeside Funeral Chapel in Danville. The Rev. Earl Livengood officiated and burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.  --typed by Walt W
