Ralph Edward HAUPT, 65 of 3713 Hickory Lane, Lafayette died at 12:30 p.m. Friday Nov 26, 1993 in St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center following a 5-months illness. Mr. Haupt was born April 7. 1938 near West Lebanon in Warren County. He had lived in the Lafayette area the past 48 years. His marriage was to Marilyn Mae Cheesman Feb 26, 1966 in Mulberry and she survives. She is an employee of St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center. He attended Veedersburg HS and retired in 1990 after 42 years as a meter troubleshooter at Landis & Gyr Co. Mr. Haupt was a member of Eagles Lodge 347. Also surviving are three sisters: Mrs. Victor (Doris) Hutts of Lafayette; Lois Smith of New Buffalo, Mich and Mrs. John (Bette) Sundqvist of Pine Village; two brothers, Simon C. Haupt of Ft. Wayne and Paul L. Haupt of Lafayette. He was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Haupt. Visitation was prior to service on Monday at Hippensteel Funeral Chapel. Entombment in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center, 3 West. - kbz
