Marguerite G. Hathaway, 85 of Rural Kingman passed away at 1:30 p.m. Saturday Oct 26, 1996 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind. She was born Sept 8, 1911 in Danville Ill the daughter of Calvin and Jennie Roland Hanna. She married Rowland Hathaway on July 1, 1930 and he preceded her in death on Sept 10, 1981. Mrs. Hathaway was a homemaker and enjoyed making quilts. She was a member of the Cooper Chapel Church, an associate member of Kingman Woman’s Club, served on the advisory board of Fountain Trust Company and was a member of the North Millcreek Home Extension Club and Millcreek Farm Bureau. She was also a member of the former Pythian Sisters Lodge No 250. Surviving are two son, Joe of rural Veedersburg and Jerry of Connersville; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two brothers, Calvin Hanna of Little Rock, Ark and Leo Hanna of Danville, Ill. She was preceded in death by three brothers. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. EST Tuesday, Oct 29 at the Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman with Kenneth Majors officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Covington. – kbz
