Roland F. Hathaway of RR 1, Kingman, age 78, died Thursday evening, September 10, at his home. He was born in Vermillion County, December 13, 1908, the son of Isaac and Mattie Hines Hathaway. July 1, 1930, he married Marguerite Hanna, who survives. He was a member of Coopers Chapel Church and the Farm Bureau. A farmer, he also worked at Beard Ice Company in Danville, Illinois, for 13 years.

  Also surviving are two sons, Joe of Veedersburg and Jerry of Connersville; a brother, Samuel of Oakwood, Illinois, and five grandchildren.

  The body was taken from Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman to Coopers Chapel for funeral services Sunday afternoon with Rev. Max Paddock officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington.  Thanks to S
