The citizens of our little city were stricken with great grief Tuesday morning when they learned that Wm. Harvey, a pioneer of this place, had passed away the night before at 10 o’clock.  The cause of death was kidney and bladder trouble and the suffering was most severe, yet he bore it with patience to the end when death came as a relief.  Deceased was 69 years and 4 months old and was the father of 10 children, seven of whom survive him.  An aged and beloved wife and many friends are left to mourn the sad death of a dear one.   Mr. Harvey was a native of this community and had many warm friends.   He was an honorable citizen and believed in the right and only that. Funeral services were conducted from the Friends church here yesterday at 10 a.m. by Mrs. Leannah Hobson, former pastor of the church, afterwhich interment was made in the Rush Creek cemetery. – thanks to “S”
