Cayuga – Samuel C. Harvey, 90, died at 4 p.m. Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harry McMurtrey here after an illness of 7 weeks. Funeral services at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday from the Cayuga Presbyterian Church with the Rev. AR Brown of Terre Haute, former local pastor, officiating. Burial in Tangier cemetery with Gilbert Spencer Funeral Home, Kingman in charge. Mr. Harvey was a former railroader and millwright who retired 20 years ago. Since that time he had moved to Cayuga from Tangier. He was born May 29, 1855 son of Isaac and Mary Ann Thompson Harvey. He was married June 17, 1875. Surviving are six children: Mrs. Esther Wimmer of Hillsdale, Lawrence Harvey at Tangier; May Harvey of New Carlysle; JH Harvey of Paris, Ill and OS Harvey of Terre Haute; four brothers, Aaron of Canada; Miles of Florida; John of Kansas City Mo and James of California. There are 28 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren One son, Claude preceded him in death.
