Albert Garfield Harvey, 75, of Covington Route 3, died at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday in Williamsport Community Hospital where he had been a patient one week.
Born Jan. 24, 1882, in Jay County, Ind., son of Isaac A. and Cynthia Poor Harvey, he had resided in Shawnee Township most of his life and was a former township assessor.
He was a member of Covington Lodge 36, Knights of Pythias, and the Fountain County Farm Bureau.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Thelma Simms of Dyer, Ind., and a grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
The Rev. Gerald Durre, pastor of the First Church of Christ of which Mr. Harvey was a member, will officiate. - jz
