Dana—Kenneth L. Hartley, 77, Route 2, Kingman, formerly of the rural Dana area, died at 2 a.m. Sunday, May 21, 1989 at Vermillion County Hospital, Clinton.

  He was born June 8, 1911, in Elyria, Ohio, the son of Roy and Elizabeth Kellner Daldey Hartley. He was married June 18, 1980, in Eugene to Leona M. Edwards, who survives.

  He retired from the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Danville. He served in the U.S. Navy Seabees during World War II.
  He was a member of Cayuga American Legion Post 263 and enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting.

  Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Sally Turner, Covington, and Christine P. Rigdon, Danville; three sons, Roland K., Phoenix, Ariz.; David J., Covington, and Kenneth L. Jr., San Diego, Calif.; three stepsons, Ronald Peterson, Newport; Donald Dale Peterson, Rantoul, Ill., and Orval Peterson, Tangier, four grandchildren; seven step grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Wednesday at DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home, Cayuga. Burial was in Danville National Cemetery with graveside military rites by Cayuga American Legion. – s
