  Lillian Grubbs Hartley of RR 1, Cayuga, formerly of RR 1, Kingman, age 86, died Thursday morning, April 15, at Lakeview Medical Center in Danville, Illinois. She was born at Fairmount, Illinois, September 2, 1895, the daughter of Nathan and Cora Ann Lohrmann Sams. In 1918, she married Ernest P. Grubbs, who died in 1942. She was married in 1954 to Earl Hartley, who died in 1972. Mrs. Hartley was a member of Kingman Christian Church and had owned and operated a general store in Lodi for 12 years.

  Surviving are a daughter, Edith Wright of RR 1, Cayuga; a son, Philip H. Grubbs of Lodi; a sister, Opal Allen of Waveland; three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home in Cayuga with Rev. William Lehman and Rev. Wendell Adams officiating. Burial was in Memory Garden Cemetery at Rockville. – thanks to S
