Lealia Ann Hartlep, 77, of Ambia, died Aug. 28, 1975, at the Hoopeston Community Memorial Hospital. She had been a patient there five weeks.
Born Sept. 6, 1897, in Little York, Ind., she was the daughter of Joseph and Serena Huckleberry Trueblood. She married Charles Hartlep Dec. 15, 1915, in Danville, Ill. He died in 1947.
Survivors include two daughters, Ellen Hartlep at home and Mrs. Harold (Doris Lee) Ingram of Covington; two sons, Charles and James, both of Ambia; a sister, Mrs. Cleatia Combs of Fowler; and five brothers, Ferris, Willard, Charles and Reid Trueblood, all of Kokomo, and George of Ambia.
She also was preceded in death by an infant son and three brothers, Wallace, Wincel, and Grandel.
She had resided in the Ambia and Locust Grove community since the age of 17. She was a charter member of the Chestnut Street Church of Christ in Hoopeston, Prairie Homemakers Club, a past president of the Warren County Home Economics Club, Locust Grove Senior Citizens Club and Ambia Church Missionary Fellowship.
Services were at the Chestnut Street Church of Christ, with Russell McMillan officiating. Burial was at Locust Grove Cemetery near Ambia. Wood Funeral Home in Hoopeston was in charge. – thanks to S
