Mary Jennie Clift, daughter of John and Mary Dye Clift was born July 4, 1907 in Veedersburg where she spent most of her life. She was married in July 1930 to Alva Harrold, who survives. Also surviving are three sons: Robert and Ralph of Lafayette, Indiana and Henry of Attica; a daughter, Mrs. Martha Krise of Crawfordsville; two brothers, Charles and McKinley Clift both of Veedersburg; four sisters, Mrs. Sally Hoover and Mrs. Esther Cowan both of Veedersburg; Mrs. Laura Piercefield of Tilton, Illinois and Mrs. Florence Cooper of Frankfort, Indiana. Mary had been in ill health for several years. She entered Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville on April 11th where she passed away May 27, 1955 at age 47 years 10 months and 23 days. Mary was laid to rest in the Rockfield Cemetery. – kbz
