Wade C. Harrison, 75, chairman of the board of directors of the Harrison Steel Casting Company, Attica, died 1:30 a.m. Monday of an apparent heart attack at his home at Harrison Hills, Attica.
Harrison was born May 27, 1904 at Converse, Ind., the son of Joseph W. and Clarabelle Harrison.
He was a graduate of the University of Illinois. He began his career at Harrison Steel in 1928, shortly thereafter becoming treasurer in charge of purchasing.
His offices with the company held in subsequent years included secretary-treasurer, executive vice-president, president, and he was elected chairman of the board April 21, 1976.
At the time of his death he was also a director of The Central National Bank and Trust Co., director of First United Methodist Church and director and president of the Harrison Hills Country Club, all in Attica.
Surviving are his wife, Sarah K. Harrison; one daughter, Suzanne (Mrs. G. Edward) Curtis; one son, Wade C. Harrison II, and four grandchildren, all of Attica. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Roy J. Harrison and Glen W. Harrison. – thanks to S
