Waynetown Mrs. Nellie Harris, 74, who lived in Waynetown for 40 years died Saturday at 2:45 p.m. at Culver Hospital. Death was attributed to cardiac decompensation. She had been in failing health for nine days.
Born in Newtown on Nov 15, 179, she was the daughter of James and Susan Coon Hudson. On Feb 22, 1898 she was married to Joseph Harris who survives.
She was a member of the Waynetown Christian Church and of the Waynetown Chapter of the OES No 435. Surviving besides the husband are three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Ingersoll of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Beulah Shultz of Waynetown and Mrs. Susan Gravett of Indianapolis; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Young of Glendale, Ariz and Mrs. Leah Birdcell of Waynetown; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Roy on Dec 8, 1951 and by two infant daughters.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Grenard and Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown with Rev. James F. Pfouts officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home - kbz
