Frankfort – The estate of Lloyd Harris, former resident of Fountain County but domiciled in Clinton County who died at Sarasota, Fla Dec 5, has been filed for probate in Clinton Circuit court. The estate is estimated to consist of $60,000 in real estate; $50,000 in personal property and $5000 in other assets. Virgil Stull was named executor and qualified by filing bond in the sum of $15,000.  The will was drawn in June 1954 and sets forth that by reason of a prenuptial agreement no mention is made in the will of his widow, Ruth Edna Harris. The will bequeaths $500 to each of several grandchildren and the estate, consisting of land in Clinton, Fountain, Tippecanoe and Montgomery counties is to be equally divided among his sons and daughters, Miss Gladys G. Harris, Claude Harris of Clarks Hill and Mrs. Ethel Harris Stull of Lafayette Rt 5.  - kbz

Funeral Notice – Harris, Lloyd – Friends may call at Dickerson Funeral Home, Stockwell, after 2 p.m. Saturday. Services there 2 p.m. Sunday, Rev. James Stansell officiating; interment in Union Cemetery, Clarks Hill. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, one great grandchild and five step grandchildren. - kbz

Word was received in Hillsboro of the death of Lloyd Harris, 81 of Hillsboro who died in Memorial Hospital, Sarasota, Fla Wednesday night Dec 12.  Mr. and Mrs. Harris went to their Florida Home in October and he had been ill most of the time since their arrival.  He was hospitalized during his illness.  The body arrived in Stockwell Saturday afternoon and funeral service was held at the Dickerson Funeral Home in Stockwell at 2 p.m. Sunday with Rev. James Stansel of the Clark’s Hill Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in the Union Cemetery at Clark’s Hill.  Mr. Harris was a retired farmer of the Clark’s Hill neighborhood.  He was born in Columbia, Tenn Aug 6, 1875. He was married to Carolyn Minerva Price in 1899 and she died May 29, 1952.  He was married to Mrs. Edna Price of Hillsboro June 19, 1954 and she survives.  Other survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Harris, Clark’s Hill and Mrs. Virgil Stull, Frankfort; a son, Claude of Clark’s Hill; two stepdaughters, Mrs. James Stockdale of Darlington and Mrs. William Coats of Waynetown; 8 grandchildren; one great grandchild and five step grandchildren. – kbz
