Hurley Harper, formerly of Veedersburg died this week after being a hospital patient for the past 26 years. Born in Veedersburg Oct 1, 1883 he was the son of John and Elizabeth Fletcher Harper. For many years he was employed at the Veedersburg Brick Co. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Louise Jeffries of Hillsboro and a brother, Albert of Veedersburg. The body was returned to Veedersburg for services Saturday with the Rev. Samuel Pritchard officiating. Burial was in Bonebrake Cemetery. – kbz
