ATTICA – Lowell Harmon, age 65, of Attica Rt. 1, died at 7:25 p.m. Sunday, May 12, at the Home Hospital in Lafayette. He had been a patient there since 3 p.m. Mr. Harmon was born Sept. 30, 1902, in Mellott, the son of John W. and Myrtle Wilhite Harmon. He had resided in the area most of his life and in Attica for the past 25 years. He had been a trucker, retiring recently due to ill health. Survivors include: two sons, John L. of Bloomingdale and Lemyel of Waveland; two brothers, Lemyel of Mecca and Ernest of Detroit, Mich.; one sister, Mrs. Retta Wake of California, and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the DeSutter Funeral Home here. The Rev. Vernon W. Seaton officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery. – jlr

Attica – Lowell Harmon, 65, of Attica, died unexpectedly in Home Hospital, Lafayette at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. He was admitted there at 3 p.m. He made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Glaze of Rt 1. Born at Mellott, he was a retired trucker. Surviving are two sons, John L. of Bloomindale and Lemyel E. of Waveland and two brothers, Lemyel E. of Mecca and Ernest of Detroit and a sister, Mrs. Retta Wake in California. - kz
