Waynetown - Mrs. Lily (Rena) Harlan, 85, a lifelong resident of Waynetown and vicinity died at 8:10 a.m. Thursday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. She had been ill six weeks.
Born May 23, 1874, southwest of Waynetown, Mrs. Harlan was the daughter of Jonathan and Sarah Armantrout INgersoll. She married Elmer Harlan Aug 25, 1895. Mrs. Harlan was the last surviving member of her family. She attended a rural school near Waynetown and was a member of the Waynetown Christian Church.
Survivors include the husband and three sons, Clarence, Vernie and Harry Harlan, all of Waynetown, 7 grandchildren 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Servies Funeral Home at Waynetown with burial at the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Rev. Homer Cole will be the officiating minister. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday. - kbz
