COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS) - Mrs. Roxie M. Hardy, 70, of Covington Route 3, died at 6:30 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 17, 1971) at the Logansport State Hospital. She had been a patient there for six years and had been seriously ill a week. Born Jan. 4, 1901, in Shawnee Township. Fountain County, she was the daughter of Granville P. and Mary B. Maiden Grubb. She married Theodore Hardy Feb. 24, 1924. Life resident of the Covington area, she was a member of the First Church of Christ of Covington. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Mary Ann) Hawkins of Flora, Ill., Mrs. Grant (Reba) Hawkins of Dix, Ill., and Mrs. Edward (Martha) Ratclift, of Kingman Route 2; a son, Robert of Covington Route 3; a sister, Mrs. Chester (Reatha ) Towell of Covington Route 1; four brothers, Theodore Grubb and Charles Grubb, both of North Fort Myers, Fla., James Grubb of Veedersburg and Granville O. Grubb of Covington; 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers. Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Wednesday at the First Church of Christ, with the Rev. Harold Fogle officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Tuesday. Body will be taken to the church an hour before services. - jlr
