HARDEST, Robert F. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Robert E. Hardesty of Westville, Illinois, age 58, died Sunday afternoon, July 25, in Lakeview Medical Center at Danville, Illinois. He was born at Danville, Illinois, May 24, 1924, the son of Otis and Ethel Radloff Hardesty. April 21, 1946, he married Margaret Nipper, who survives. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of Anchor Masonic Lodge, Danville Scottish Rite and Gao Grotto. He was general foreman at Peterson-Puritan, Inc., where he had been employed for 25 years.

  Also surviving are four sons, Robert E. Jr., John and Danny Lee, all of Westville, and Herbert O. of Hillsboro; two brothers, John of Graham, Kentucky, and Charles of Indianapolis; and six grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Barrick and Son Funeral Home in Danville with Rev. Thomas Inabinett officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park at Danville.
