Williamsport—Gladys Pearl Davis Harden, 68, 109 Brown St., Williamsport, died at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, 1989, in her home. She had been in failing health 10 years.
She was born Sept. 10, 1920 in Wanatah, the daughter of Raymond V. and Blanche L. Buck Davis. She was a Warren County resident most of her life. She lived in the Winthrop area 21 years and moved to Williamsport six years ago. She was married Dec. 8, 1936, in Hebron, to Walter L. Harden, who preceded her in death in 1984. She was a member of Hickman Heights Christian Church.
Surviving are two sons, Dennis, Indianapolis, and Gene, Winthrop; a stepdaughter, Betty Mascaro, Faulk Village; three brothers, Wallace Davis and Grant Davis, both of Otterbein and Ronald Davis, Fort Wayne; two sisters, Lucy Nixon, Covington, and Ethel Wolverton, Otterbein; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter, two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday in Fisher Funeral Home Chapel, Williamsport, with the Rev. Gerald Burt officiating. Burial was in Davis Cemetery. – thanks to s
