Peter Hanson, age 85, who farmed all his life, died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 22, at his home in Danville, Ill. He had been seriously ill two months. Mr. Hanson was born March 21, 1880, at Yankton, S. D., to Engbert and Margaret Hellgager Hanson. He was married to Alma V. Olson, May 2, 1907, and she survives. He attended the Edgewood Baptist Church in Danville, Ill. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are: three sons, Edwin of Polson, Mont., Peter E. of Kingman Rt. 2, and Dean of Chicago; two daughters, Mrs. Florence Coates of Bend, Ore., and Mrs. Hilda Qualev of Danville, Ill.; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Nora Spore of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Martha Mennis and Mrs. Emma Toskay, both of Yanpton, S. Dak., and one brother, Carl of Arizona. He was preceded in death by one brother. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, at the Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington. The Rev. Garth Sibert of Danville officiated and burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Covington. --typed by Walt W
