George Hankins, 72 of Kingman died at Lake View Hospital in Danville, Ill at 10 p.m. Thursday. He was a farmer and a member of Coopers Chapel EUB Church. Mr. Hankins was born in Fountain County July 21, 1881 son of Alexander and Maranda Parker Hankins. He married Goldie Shell May 22, 1903 and she survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Cuba Dixon of Cayuga; three sons: Horace at home; George of Yeddo and Wayne of Veedersburg rural route; a sister, Mrs. Hattie Norwood of Crawfordsville; a brother, Tom of Veedersburg rural route; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, three sons and a brother. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at Coopers Chapel Church with Rev. Milo Hinckle of Marshall officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. – kbz
