HANIFORD, Eldon - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Eldon Haniford, 47, of Attica, who resided in the vicinity of Newtown for a number of years, died at St. Elizabeth hospital, Lafayette, Tuesday afternoon after submitting to a surgical operation on Wednesday October 18.  He was the son of Edward and Anna Haniford and was born in Warren County October 13, 1897.  He was married to Florence Wildman in 1921.

The survivors include the widow, the daughter, Mrs. Lorraine Gaylor of near Newtown and two sons, Corporaal Robert Haniford, somewhere in North Africa and Tommy Haniford, at home; one brother, Joe Haniford of Hillsboro and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Jones and Mrs. Essie Chester of Newtown.  The body was removed to the home of his daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Gaylor of near Newtown but funeral arrangements are incomplete.
