HANCOCK, Curtis Darvin

Curtis Darvin Hancock of Walton, formerly of Covington, age 53, died Sunday morning, June 29, in Chase Manor Nursing Home at Logansport. He was born in Covington, February 16, 1927, the son of Mahlon E. and Pearl Wilson Hancock. Once employed at Harrison Steel Casting Company in Attica and as a farm laborer, he was last employed as custodian at South Eastern High School at Walton.
Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Betty Lou Ponder Sharlow of Covington, Mrs. Thelma Freeman and Miss Jennie Hancock, both of RR 1, Attica, and Mrs. Vera Mae Knowling of Roachdale; a brother, James of Covington; two aunts, Mrs. Cora Cruea of Covington and Mrs. Vina Rennick of Crawfordsville; three step sisters, three step brothers and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery at Attica. – S
