Mrs. Maude A. Hamilton, 80, 406 E. Main St., Boswell, died at 5:55 p. m. Wednesday, July 30, in Home Hospital, Lafayette. She had been seriously ill since April. She was born Jan. 18, 1906, in Wallace. She attended Fowler High School and spent the past 9 ½ years in Boswell. She had lived in the Fowler-Oxford area most of her life. She was married May 4, 1924, in Oxford, to Warren R. Hamilton. He died Aug. 5, 1983. She was a member of the Boswell United Methodist Church and Prairie Chapter, Order of Eastern Star in Boswell. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Juanita) Ewalt, West Lafayette, and Mrs. Freda Loyselle, Muskegon, Mich.; one son, Howard Hamilton, Shelbyville; two brothers, Russell Robbins, Fowler, and Forrest Robbins, Kankakee, Ill.; five sisters, Luella Sentman, Mooresville; Louise Leighty, Veedersburg; Mabel McDaniel, Goodland; Edna Bell, Hernando, Fla., and Mrs. Vernice Slavens, Tucson, Ariz.; six grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildrenSeveral services were held at 11 a. m. Saturday at Yuill-Shoemaker Funeral Home Chapel, Boswell, with the Rev. Jerry Stout officiating. Burial was in Boswell Cemetery. Eastern Star service was held at the funeral home at 8 p. m. Friday.
