Wallace, Ind -- Mrs. Mildred Louise Hamer, 49, who resided a mile W. of Wallace since 1948, died at 11:30 yesterday Jan 15, 1969 at Home Hospital, Lafyaette. She was a patient there since Dec. 3. Born Jan 15, 1920 at Tangier, she was the daughter of Robert & Flossie Hollingsworth Millikan. She was married May 29, 1947 at Olivet, Ill to Haldon "Leo" Hamer, who survives. Mrs. Hamer was a graduate of Olivet HS and attended Olivet Nazarene College. Survivors include her parents of Kingman RR; two sons, Edward at home and William serving in the Navy; and a sister, Mrs. Mary McMahan of Potomac. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Servies-Thomas Funeral Home, Waynetown. The Rev. Ivan Steed will officiate. Burial will be in Centennial Cem. The body is at the funeral home. Mildred Louise Hamer, 49, of near Wallace, died at 11;30 a.m. Wednesday at Home Hospital at Lafayette, where she had been a patient since Dec. 3. She had been in ill health the past year. Born in Tangier on Jan. 15, 1920, she was a daughter of Robert and Flossie Hollingsworth Millikan. She married Halder "Bill" Hamer on May 29, 1947 at Olivet, Il. He survives with two sons, Edward at home and William in the Navy. aboard the USS Parsons off Vietnam: her parents,of Rt 1, Kingman; a sister, Mrs. Mary McMahan of Potomac, Il, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hamer lived as a child in Illinois, returning to the Kingman area in 1943. All her married life was on the Hamer farm a mile west of Wallace. She was a graduate of Olivet Nazarene High School and attended Olivet Nazarene College. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Servies-Thomas Funeral Home, Rev. Ivan Steed of Veedersburg will officiate with burial in Centennial Cemetery north of Kingman. - BR
