Melville Edward Hall, age 69, of Danville, Ill., brother of Mrs. Helen Stafford of Attica, died at 12:05 a.m. Monday, July 25, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Danville, where he had been a patient nine weeks. He had been seriously ill seven months. He was born Oct. 27, 1896, in Danville, the son of John and Jennie George Hall. He was a life resident of Danville. He was married in 1929 to Nellie Gray, who survives. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are: one daughter, Mrs. Robert Cox of Oakwood, Ill.; one son, Richard G. Hall of Danville; two granddaughters; and three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Crane of Logansport, Mrs. Stafford of Attica, and Mrs. Sarah Reid of Mechanisburg, Ohio. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, at the Edmund & Dickson Funeral Home in Danville. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery there. --typed by Walt W
