Mahlon Hall, a life long resident of Shawnee Township died at 3:30 Wednesday morning at his farm home north of Veedersburg on Rt 1.  Mr. Hall had been ill for a year and seriously ill for the past few months.  He had an active and successful career in farming and politics, serving as Shawnee Township trustee three terms and was elected for a second term as assessor in Fountain County until his illness forced his resignation. He was a member of the EUB Church.  Mahlon Bookwalter Hall was born March 28, 1888 the son of Jerry and Euree McLain Hall.  He was married to Miss Bertha Hyatt on March 9, 1911.  He is survived by his wife and one son, Richard of Veedersburg RR; two daughters, Mrs. Herman Schmid of Attica and Mrs. Maxine Good of Centerville, Ind; two sisters, Mrs. Estelle Smith of Veedersburg and Mrs. Helen DeHaven of Muncie and 7 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the DeSutter Funeral Home in Attica on Saturday at 2:00. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery with RA DeSutter in charge. Friends may call at the Funeral Home after 7, Thursday evening. – kbz
