VEEDERSBURG -- Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, at the DeSutter Funeral Home in Attica for Mrs. Eliza Christian Hall, age 77, a resident of Veedersburg Rt. 4 for the past five years and a former resident of Attica. She died at 8:55 a. m. Friday, Dec. 24, at the Home Hospital in Lafayette where she had been a patient since Dec. 6. The Rev. Ronny DeLong officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Mrs. Hall was born Dec. 16, 1888, in Fountain County, the daughter of George and Jane Brown Hancock. She was married Dec. 12, 1909, in Covington to Charles Hall, who died April 26, 1950. She had been housekeeper for Amos Minnear since 1961. Survivors include: one son, George Hall of Attica Rt. 2; two daughters, Mrs. Ike (Thelma) Isley of Williamsport and Mrs. Lester (Eleanor) Misner of Attica; two brothers, Jeff Hancock of Attica and Wesley Hancock of Daleville; three sisters, Mrs. Cora Cruea of Covington, Mrs. Stella Hudak of Marshfield and Mrs. Vina Rennick of Attica; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. --typed by Walt W

Attica – Mrs. Eliza Christian (Hancock) Hall, 77, of Rt 4, Veedersburg died Friday in Home Hospital, Lafayette where she had been a patient since Dec 6. She formerly lived in Attica. Mrs. Hall was born in Fountain County and in 1909 was married to Charles Hall at Covington. He died in 1950. Mrs. Hall had been employed as a housekeeper for the past 14 years. Surviving are a son, George of Rt 2, Attica; two daughters, Mrs. Thelma Isley of Williamsport and Mrs. Eleanor Misner of Attica; two brothers Jeff Hancock of Attica and Wesley Hancock of Daleville and three sisters, Mrs. Cora Cruea of Covington; Mrs. Stella Hudak of Marshfield, Wis and Mrs. Vina Renick of Attica. Friends were calling at DeSutter Funeral Home, Attica. Services there 2 p.m. Monday, the Rev. Ronny DeLong officiating; interment Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
