HADLEY, Rachel Bales

Mrs. Rachel B. Hadley, 78, of Kingman, was found dead in her home Thursday afternoon.  Death of natural causes apparently had occurred several hours before.
The daughter of Edward and Mary Elizabeth Ewbank Bales, she was born in 1880.  She married William Hadley on January 25, 1902. He  preceded her in death on December 24, 1951.
A member of the Kingman EUB Church, she was active in the Ladies Aid, the O.E.S., Tent of Daughters of Union Veterans and Royal Neighbors Lodge of America.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Marie Jennings of Veedersburg; a son, Charles of Peoria; a brother, Wallace Bales of Waynetown; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted from the Woodrow Funeral Home Sunday with burial in the Kingman Fraternal Cemetery.  - jz
